IPL (also known as Intense Pulse Light) treatment is one of the most popular treatments used in the skin industry to treatment many concerns effectively.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacials
IPL Best For:
Broken blood vessels
Procedure Time: Around 30-45 min
This non-ablative treatment uses multiple wavelengths of pulsed light in combination with laser technology to gently and effectively penetrate the skin’s deeper layers. The result is clearer, brighter, and more evenly coloured skin with minimal recovery time.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR TREATMENT
Photo rejuvenation with IPL is much gentler than previous-generation lasers with minimal down time. IPL is administered using a lamp like device that emits high-intensity pulses of broadband light which target and destroy problematic skin cells, particularly those containing excess pigment. Because IPL is non-ablative, the surrounding healthy skin cells are left undamaged and little discomfort is experienced during the procedure. IPL is often suitable for many areas of the body, including the face, hands, neck, and chest.
Thread veins, also known as spider veins, usually appear across the nose & cheek area & are often difficult to cover up on a daily basis. It’s not 100% clear why we get these veins, but it’s thought that heat, exposure to the sun, alcohol & hormonal changes along with hereditary factors can trigger them.
How does this work with thread veins?
The Orange light IPL attracts to the blood in the skin, breaking down the stagnant blood supply, increase flow and removes through the lymphatic system.
